The Provincial Hospital (later Centracare) was a fixture on Lancaster Heights from 1848 until its relocation in 1998.
The Insane Asylum, which became the Provincial Hospital in 1903 then Centracare in 1978, was first located on Leinster Street in the old quarantine hospital. It was the first mental hospital in Canada
